Ronaldo top scorer of Portugal

Portugal got a ticket to the Euro 2012 seimifinals with a Cristiano Ronaldo goal gainst the Czech Republic. The Real Madrid striker has become the top scoring Portuguese player in the history of the championship alongside Nuno Gomes and is currently the top scorer in this edition with three goals alongside Mario Gomez, Dzagoev and Mandzukic - the latter two are already out of the championship.
Cristiano's first strike in the tournament came in the 2-1 defeat against Greece in the inaugural match of 2004. He went on to net the opener in the 2-1 victory over the Netherlands in the semifinals.

In 2008, the Portuguese ace scored the second goal in the 3-1 win over the Czech Republic in the second gorup stage clash.

So far in 2012, Cristiano has tallied two goals against the Netherlands in the last game of the group stage (which was decisive for Portugal to reach the quarterfinals) and the clincher against the Czech Republic.
